This page explains what One Dollar Decks collects, why, who processes it for us, and what we do with it — in plain language.
What we collect
- Your account: name, email, an optional profile picture, and a securely hashed password (we never see the password itself).
- Your work: the documents, PowerPoints, websites, pictures of looks you like and logos you upload or paste, the instructions you give, and the decks One Dollar Decks makes for you.
- Your brands: logos and colors you save, and the website address you pulled them from.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We keep a record of what you paid, what you spent and your balance; we never see or store card numbers.
- Help chat: the questions you type into the Help chat in the corner of the page (see below).
- Basic usage: which steps you use, when, how long jobs take, and error reports — so we can fix what breaks. For the Help chat we also log the page you asked from and, if you are not signed in, your IP address, to limit how many questions can be asked an hour.
How we use it
To make your decks, save them to My files, keep your balance right, email you when a long deck is ready, answer support questions, and improve the service. That's it. We do not sell your information and we do not use your decks to advertise to anyone.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers. Each gets only what it needs to do its job, under an agreement that keeps it confidential:
- OpenAI — reads your material and writes the story, the plan and the words on your slides. Also a back-up for drawing slides if fal.ai is unavailable.
- Anthropic — the same text work when OpenAI is unavailable, and it answers the questions you ask the Help chat.
- fal.ai — draws your slides, using your look, your words and your plan.
- Stripe — takes card payments and keeps the card details.
- Supabase — stores your account, your decks, your brands and your files (database and file storage, in the United States).
- Resend — sends our emails: confirming your address, password resets, and "your deck is ready".
- Vercel — hosts the website and runs the app.
AI processing
To make a deck, your uploaded files and instructions are sent to the AI providers above to be processed. They process it to produce your result; under their business terms they do not use what we send them to train their models. Your files are never shown to other One Dollar Decks customers.
The Help chat
The Help chat in the corner answers questions about One Dollar Decks. What you type is sent to Anthropic to write the answer, together with what the assistant needs to answer well: our help pages and prices, the page you are on, and — if you are signed in — your balance, your recent decks and any recent job that went wrong. Anthropic does not use it to train its models. We do not keep the conversation itself; your browser keeps it for that visit only (see below). The assistant answers — it cannot charge, refund or change anything.
Where it lives
Your account and work are stored with Supabase on servers in the United States, and the app runs on Vercel. All of it is encrypted in transit. Only you can see your rows and files — every table is locked to the signed-in owner.
Cookies and your browser
We use one kind of cookie: the sign-in session cookie that keeps you signed in. No advertising cookies, no third-party trackers, no analytics cookies.
Your browser also keeps a few things for convenience, on your device only:
- Local storage: your light or dark theme, whether you have seen the welcome, your List or Grid choice in My files, and which finished decks you have already been told about.
- Session storage: the Help chat conversation, so it follows you between pages. It is cleared when you close the tab.
- Browser storage (IndexedDB): a draft of the deck you are working on, so it is still there if you reload, and a copy of your brands so they load quickly. Your saved brands and decks themselves live on your account.
Your choices
- Delete any deck from My files, or any brand from Brands, at any time.
- Close your account and we delete your work within 30 days.
- Ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, or to correct it, through our contact form.
