A person, when you need one

Pick a guide — each one walks through part of the app in numbered steps, with tips and the messages you might see. Or ask the Help chat in the corner.

My files and your account
Every deck you’ve made, plus your balance, prices and history.

Questions people ask
How does the balance work — and refunds?

You pay for a deck when you build it, or add money on the Account page and each deck is paid from your balance. A job that fails is never charged. Paid balance never expires, and unused paid balance can be refunded within 30 days of adding it — send us a message at onedollardecks.app/contact. Bonus money is spent first, expires after 12 months and can’t be refunded. If a run stops because your balance ran out, add money and your work carries on from where you left off.

What is the ownership rule?

One Dollar Decks only works on content and looks you own — a template you bought or got free within its license, your own work, or your own photographs. Whenever you upload something you are asked to confirm that, with a “mine to use” box you have to tick. It never copies someone else’s design.

Can I say what the picture should be?

Yes. The deck maker has an “Art direction” box under the look. Say how your slides should differ from the look you picked: swap the objects, no people, use my photo, more white space, darker, bigger headline. Quick choices drop ready sentences in. Art direction changes the pictures and the feel only; your words stay exactly as you typed them. It is saved with the deck, so later changes keep it.

What does “only that slide changes” mean?

When you ask for a change in the chat beside a slide, only the thing you named changes. The rest of that slide — every word, picture, color and position — stays as it was, and the other slides are not touched.

What file types can I use?

Looks: JPG, PNG or a screenshot. What goes in the deck: PowerPoint (.pptx), PDF or Word (.docx), a website, or just a topic (save an old .ppt as .pptx first). Downloads are PowerPoint (.pptx) and PDF.

How long do things take?

The story and the plan: under a minute each. Page one: about a minute. A whole deck: a few minutes, depending on the number of slides — they appear as they are drawn. A change to one slide: about a minute.

What do things cost?

A slide deck is $1 a page — 12 pages is $12, 4 pages is $4. The story and the plan are free. Page one is free on your first deck, then one page’s price — and it becomes page one of the deck, so it is never paid for twice. Changing a slide by chat: the first change on each slide is free, then 8¢ a change. Redrawing a slide from scratch is $1. Retrying a slide that failed is free within 6 hours of the failure. The live list is on your Account page, and it is what you are actually charged.

Where is my work saved?

In My files, on your account — so it is there on any device you sign in on. Every deck keeps a PDF: “Open PDF” shows it in your browser, “Download PDF” saves it, and you can download it again at any time, free.

Can I close the page while a deck is building?

Yes. The deck keeps building and each batch of slides is saved to My files as it lands. If it takes more than a few minutes, we email you when it is ready.

Can I edit the PowerPoint?

Each slide in the PowerPoint is one finished picture, so it looks and presents exactly the same everywhere — but its words can’t be retyped in PowerPoint. Change a slide here instead: click it and say what to change. The first change on each slide is free.

How do I reach a person?

Send us a message at onedollardecks.app/contact — we answer within one working day. For quick questions, the Help chat in the corner of every page answers straight away; it can see your balance and recent decks, but it can’t change anything.
